The design will allow your heater to actually be adjusted from zero to 100%. That way when a lower setting is required, there will actually be less energy consumed since the heater is being delivered less energy. All from a knob on your dash! Most heating systems just mix in cold air from outside to adjust the temperature, while the heater is still running at full output! That's a huge waste of energy!
